Service Description

Offers a long-term residential program for men age 19 and over with substance addiction, provided in two stages. Stage 1 involves a 90-day residential program with no outside work or study. Supported recovery homes throughout Metro Vancouver provide second-stage programs for graduates of the first-stage treatment program (and those from other treatment facilities), while they reintegrate into the community. Stage 2 clients must attend recovery meetings in the community and participate in weekly in-house meetings, as well as complete a comprehensive after-care plan. Accepts clients on drug replacement therapies. Accepts referral from self or other. Funds a limited number of clients qualifying for social assistance or accessing the program through community health addiction counsellors. Self-pay clients are typically charged $11,500 per 30 days for a single room, and $9,000 per 30 days for a double room, with sliding scale fees available depending on individual financial circumstances. Service may be available in Farsi, French, Punjabi, and Spanish, depending on staff availability; no access to interpretation provided. Family members of residents can participate in free counselling and family support programs. Office and intake hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Thursday, and 8 am to 12 noon on Fridays. Licensed as a continuing care facility. Funded as Stabilization and Transitional Living Residence (STLR) by Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH).
