Vancouver Island Therapeutic Community (VITC)

Full-time addiction recovery program for up to 15 men, age 19 and over; four-month minimum stay. With a therapeutic community model component, the program deals with the nature of addiction, emotions and problems, and a non-confrontational, supportive approach to change addictive behaviours. Services include individual counselling, peer mentoring, AA/NA, and relapse prevention. A minimum of five days of clean time is required for entry; on-site testing for alcohol and drugs is done regularly. Accepts self-referrals. Rate is $575.00 per month, and includes rent, food, and programming. Staffed eight hours. Office and intake hours are 8:30 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday.
