Hours for Court Registry are 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. Criminal and family duty counsel services are provided to coincide with what is occurring in court on any given day. Criminal duty counsel offers assistance to individuals who have been charged with a crime and do not have a lawyer nor qualify for legal aid. Family duty counsel deals with family law issues and child protection issues (where Ministry of Children and Family Development is involved). Drop-in clients may be seen only if there is time left during the day; hours vary. Serves Vancouver. Duty counsel is funded by Legal Aid BC (LABC).
