Provides for the payment of outstanding eligible wages to individuals whose employer is bankrupt or subject to a receivership. Eligible wages under the program include salaries, commissions, vacation, termination, and severance pay. Wages owed must have been earned in the six-month period before the bankruptcy or receivership. Applications can be completed online or at a Service Canada Centre and must be submitted within 56 days of either the date of bankruptcy or receivership, or from the date that employment ended. Information line hours are 7 am to 8 pm Eastern standard time Monday to Friday.
