Warming Centre - Burnaby

Service Description

Provides a safe, warm place where people living outside can take refuge during extreme weather alert; beds and mats are not provided. Warming centres are activated when the temperature reaches -5°C or below (or it feels like -5°C or below).

Capacity: 20
Hours: 8:30 pm to 8:00 am
Special: Wheelchair accessible. Accepts pets; not aggressive or disruptive to staff/other patrons. Storage space for bikes/carts available in fenced yard. Provides food and hot beverages, as well as sleeping mats. Staff are able to provide resource information and navigation to patrons.
