Warming Centres - Vancouver

Provides a safe, warm place where people living outside can take refuge during extreme weather alert; beds and mats are not provided. Warming centres are activated when the temperature reaches -4°C or below (or it feels like -5°C or below).

Britannia Community Centre
Location: 1661 Napier Street (Gym D)
Hours: 10 pm to 8 am
Drop-in site: can accommodate 20 individuals of all genders; couples welcome. Wheelchair accessible. Can accommodate pets and carts. Hot beverages and snacks are available.

Bud Osborn Shelter Warming Centre
Location: 27 West Hastings Street
Hours: 8:30 pm to 7 am
Drop-in site: can accommodate individuals of all genders. Wheelchair accessible. Can accommodate pets. Storage available, but no carts.

Carnegie Community Centre
Location: 401 Main Street
Hours: 11 pm to 7 am
Drop in site: Can accommodate up to 40 individuals, couples welcome. Wheelchair accessible. Accepts pets, and there is room for bikes and carts. Hot beverages and snacks are available.

Chinatown Peace Church
Location: 375 East Pender Street
Hours: 9:30 pm to 7:30 am
Drop in site: All genders, couples welcome. Wheelchair accessible. Accepts pets, and there is room for bikes and carts. Hot beverages and snacks are available.

Creekside Community Centre
Location: 1 Athletes Way
Hours: 10:30 pm to 6:30 am
Drop in site: Can accommodate 15 individuals of all genders, couples are welcome. Wheelchair accessible. Room for carts and accepts pets. Hot beverages and snacks are available.

Odd Fellows Hall
Location: 1443 W 8th Avenue
Hours: 9:30 pm to 8:30 am
Drop in site: Can accommodate 20 individuals of all genders, couples are welcome. Cannot accommodate carts. Not accessible and cannot accept pets. Hot beverages and snacks are available.

Overdose Prevention Society
Location: 141 East Hastings Street
Hours: 11 pm to 8 am
Drop-in site: Capacity is 30 spaces. Can accommodate individuals of all genders, and accepts pets. No room for bike or cart storage. Wheelchair accessible. Hot beverages and snacks are available.
