Withdrawal Management/Supportive Recovery

Service Description
Provides social, non-medical withdrawal management in a safe living environment. Focus is on nutrition, sleep hygiene, addressing physical and mental health concerns, and creating healthy daily routines. Supportive recovery following detoxification includes substance use education, safety planning, relapse prevention skills, harm reduction, building healthy relationships, self-care, problem solving, and stress management. Involvement with recovery programs is encouraged throughout stay and upon discharge. Transition planning includes ongoing recovery support, education, employment, and housing. All programs are run from a feminist perspective. Referral required from Island Health Mental Health and Substance Use Services. Private pay option is available. Serves Vancouver Island north of the Malahat, including neighbouring Gulf Islands. No coverage area limitations for private pay.
