Women's and Men's IRT Programs

Service Description
Offers an evidence-based, residential addiction treatment program for men and women ages 19 and up who have serious substance use concerns, or have concurrent disorders. Program capacity is 36 men and women at a time. Accepts individuals on methadone maintenance. Average length of stay is from three to six months based on client goals and treatment plans. Services include individualized and group counselling, psycho-educational groups, relapse prevention support, peer support, medical support, job readiness and skills development training, family program, referrals, aftercare planning/support, and more. Philosophy is positive, strengths-based, and participant-centered. The focus of treatment is on healing and restoration through the development of healthy relationships, while supporting individuals to identify and build on their own unique strengths. Referral must be made through a professional person in the community (counsellor, social worker, physician, psychiatrist, mental health and addiction team provider). Fee is $40 per day, but cost is covered for participants referred by a health professional through the Provincial Substance Use Treatment Program; see website for a referral package. Intake hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday. Office hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Wheelchair accessible. Partially funded by Fraser Health and BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services.
