Workplace Connections Mentoring Program

Service Description

Introduces immigrant professionals to local professionals in similar fields for career mentorship. Eligible candidates must have permanent residence status, have at least two years of experience in their chosen profession before coming to Canada, and have a Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) level 6 or higher. Volunteer mentors assist clients to transition into careers in Canada by developing soft skills needed to succeed in a Canadian workplace; building professional networks; improving professional language skills; practicing self-marketing techniques; and identifying potential employers. Accepts referral from self or other. Services are delivered by phone, email, and online. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
