Service Description

A free training program for job seekers ages 15 to 29 years old living in the Lower Mainland. To be eligible, a client must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Person; unemployed or working less than 20 hours per week; not an Employment Insurance (EI) recipient; not a full-time student; and not participating in another Canada-BC Job Fund funded program. Provides four weeks of group-based training, preparing participants to be employment ready. Program participants receive short term certificate training, followed by 10 weeks of job search support, including work experience with access to wage subsidy, job mentoring, and coaching, and other supports. Referral accepted from self or other. Funded by Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction (MSDPR).
