Youth Engagement Worker (YEW) Program

Service Description

Provides one-to-one support to youth ages 12 to 23 with multiple barriers in developing a plan that identifies and meets a youth's individual goals. Plans focus on overcoming barriers youth may have, improving individual skills, and connecting with community resources and supports. Engagement workers times are flexible to best meet the needs of the youth, assist youth in areas such as mental health issues (anxiety, depression); improving their relationships; addressing personal problems; school concerns; substance use/misuse; peer pressure; learning new life skills; and job placement/mentoring. Open referral; youth can also be referred using an online referral form. Office hours are 9 am to 4:30 pm.
