Youth Groups

Provides a variety of groups for youth. REC Group is a recreational group for youth ages 12 to 18; no referral required. See website for an activity calendar. Teens who SHINE promotes emotional development and resilience in youth through skill building activities; youth learn to understand and manage emotions, cope effectively, and understand the importance of empathy; referral from the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) required. Teen Activity Group (TAG) is a group for high-risk youth ages 12 to 14. Offers social and skill-building opportunities, and recreational and art activities. Meets 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm Mondays and Wednesdays; MCFD referral required. SYVC Activity Group offers a variety of activities for youth ages 13 to 18 during the sping, summer, and winter holiday breaks so that youth stay engaged in positive peer interactions; MCFD referral required. The Youth Advisory Committee provides an opportunity for youth to share opinions, develop leadership skills, and earn volunteer hours.
