Youth Justice Services, Guardianship Services - Vancouver South

Provides youth justice services and guardianship services for Vancouver south of Kingsway. Youth justice services include bail supervision, and specialized youth probation supervision through court referral; other services include referrals to attendance programs, community work service (court-imposed hours of work to repay community for crimes committed), referrals to MCFD day programs, and Yankee 10 (a youth probation worker and a police officer). Guardianship and youth agreement services for youth 16 and over who are in care of MCFD or eligible for services provided under a youth agreement include assessment, providing for the youth's developmental needs, referral to MCFD day programs, and developing permanent placement plans, which may include adoption. Hours 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
