Neighbourhood house that aims to contribute to a vibrant, inclusive, and caring community where people from diverse backgrounds can gather, grow, and build a spirit of community. Offers programs and services for children, youth, adults, and families. Celebrating Community Lunch provides a nutritious meal and entertainment from 12 noon to 1:30 pm on the second Wednesday of the month (September through June); suggested cost is $12 ($10 for members), but no one will be turned away. Located at the Dining Hall at Crescent Beach (2916 McBride Avenue); register online or by calling. Neighbourhood Fun Night offers a low-cost picnic-style dinner with live music and kids activities from 5 pm to 7 pm on Wednesdays (July through August); suggested cost is $12 and $8 for children. English Conversation Circle offers an online discussion group to support newcomer Canadians to develop their English conversational skills; runs from 7 pm to 8 pm Wednesdays (September through June). Also offers English book club from 10 am to 12 pm Thursdays. Serves Delta, Surrey, and White Rock. Office hours are 9 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society.

A free, voluntary, and confidential service for parents and caregivers with children and youth newborn to 13 years of age in South Surrey and White Rock. Family workers provide one-to-one parent education, information, support, and strategies to promote effective communication. They also respond to challenging behaviours, support healthy child and adolescent development and emotions, and increase cooperation and problem solving. Family workers also help connect to community resources and additional supports. Self-referrals, service provider, and community referrals are welcome. Serves South Surrey and White Rock. Hours of service are flexible and include evenings. The program is funded by the Ministry of Children and Family Development.

Provides programs and services for youth and young adults to support community connections, skill building, reaching goals, and obtaining support. One-to-one youth workers provide support, information and resources for youth ages 13 to 18 in the South Surrey and White Rock area. Services are also available to youth ages 11 to 12 by MCFD referral or service request. Youth workers support youth with their unique goals and needs, identifying strengths and interests, and helping them connect to community resources. Youth can receive support in a number of areas including communication, making connections, housing, employment, education, coping and life skills, conflict resolution, mental health, harm reduction, substance use, and basic needs. Services are free, voluntary and confidential. Open referral. Funded by MCFD.
Offers outreach in schools and community to connect youth to housing, employment, education, and mental health support; supplies such as basic necessities, or those for harm reduction, art or school; support with applying for financial assistance; life skills, emotional support, and direct connections to additional resources in the community. Also provides support for youth transitioning into adulthood, youth groups, workshops, access to resources and referrals. Youth Services Navigator (YSN) provides mental health support for youth and young adults ages 13 to 29 and their families, including building bridges and connections to services and providing direct, one-to-one support. Open referral. Funded by Peace Arch Hospital Foundation and RBC. YSN also provides support and services during Vine Youth Clinic in White Rock on Wednesdays from 1 pm to 5pm, by appointment or drop-in; see separate listing under Fraser Health for more information.
Parent-Teen Mediation offers short-term mediation services to youth ages 13 to 18 and their parents/caregivers in South Surrey and White Rock who are experiencing conflict. The program goals are to increase and improve family communication, provide coping skills and problem solving, improve relationships between parents and teens, and connect participants to community resources and additional supports. Referrals accepted from MCFD. Funded by MCFD.
