Handles registration, establishes standards of practice, and investigates complaints from members of the public concerning registered social worker practices. Website has online registry of all registered social workers under 'Verify a Social Worker.' Does not provide referrals to social workers. Regulatory authority delegated under provincial legislation. Hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society.
