Develops and provides affordable and subsidized housing in Metro Vancouver primarily for people of Indigenous ancestry. Offers affordable housing for Indigenous individuals and families age 19 and older, lower-end market or rent-geared-to-income housing, and supportive housing for those with challenges that put them at higher risk for homelessness. Accepts applications from non-Indigenous individuals for supportive housing, lower-end market housing, or rent-geared to income housing. Apply directly to BCIHS a well as to BC Housing Registry (BCHR); eligible applicants selected from the BCIHS waitlist correspond with the BCHR. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
