Develops and provides educational, recreational, library, and social services for the communities of Grandview-Woodland and Strathcona. Manages a number of facilities featuring elementary and secondary schools, child care programs, senior's and teen's centres, a public library, learning resource centre, meeting/activity space, and a fitness centre including gymnasiums, ice rink, and swimming pool. Some programs offered free of charge; also participates in the Leisure Access Program which offers reduced fees to low-income City of Vancouver residents. Also operates off-site licensed child care, preschool, and before and after-school care; fees charged, registration required. Office hours are 8:30 am to 7 pm Monday to Friday. Program hours vary. Operated in partnership with Vancouver School Board, Vancouver Public Library Board, City of Vancouver, and Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation. Nonprofit society.
