Burnaby Hospice Society

Provides compassionate care to individuals and families in Burnaby who are at the end of life, grieving a loved one, or learning about death and dying. Bereavement support services include grief counselling for youth ages 13 to 18 and adults, workshops, and support groups. Palliative support volunteers offer emotional support and practical assistance to patients and their families at St Michael's Care Centre (hospice and extended care), Burnaby Hospital Palliative Complex Care Unit, and in the wider community (homes, assisted living, and long-term care). All services are free to Burnaby residents; no referral required. Office hours are 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
