Service Provider

Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA)

Federal science-based government agency responsible for safeguarding the food supply, monitoring animal health and protecting plants and crops from pests and other environmental hazards; verifies that domestically produced and imported products meet Canadian standards and regulations. Also coordinates food emergency response services, including recalls. Standards established by Health Canada. Office hours are 8 am to 7 pm Eastern standard time Monday to Friday.
