Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) - South Okanagan-Similkameen (SOS) Branch
Offers mental wellness programs and mental health intervention programs such as suicide prevention training, and mental health first aid. Services include information and resource connection by phone, mental health advocacy by appointment, and Unity House Clubhouse which offers psychosocial rehabilitation programs and recreational activities for adults with a mental illness. Volunteer training opportunities are available for clubhouse members; a referral is required by Penticton Mental Health, psychiatrist or case manager. The Wellness Grant Fund provides financial assistance for physical, health, educational, and personal growth opportunities for people with lived experience with mental health problems. Serves Hedley, Keremeos, Naramata, Okanagan Falls, Oliver, Osoyoos, Penticton, Princeton, and Summerland. Office hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday; Unity House clubhouse hours are 8:30 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday; and 9 am to 4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
