Cancer DriveLine Society

Volunteers provide free, safe, and compassionate transportation to and from medical facilities for patients receiving any cancer assessment, treatment, surgery or remedial procedures within the 13 municipalities of southern Vancouver Island (Central Saanich, Colwood, Esquimalt, Highlands, Langford, Metchosin, North Saanich, Oak Bay, Saanich, Sidney, Sooke, Victoria, and View Royal). Clients may be accompanied by a companion and may bring a folding walker; wheelchairs cannot be accommodated. On occasion, shared rides with other clients may be necessary. Ride requests must be booked at least two days in advance; multiple bookings are encouraged. Drivers are available from 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday; phone hours are from 8:30 to 11:30, and 1 pm to 4 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society, registered charity.

Dispatchers will call each client the afternoon prior to their appointment to confirm the request details and to advise the client of their driver's name and make of car.
