Peer support outreach workers provide one-on-one support assisting Abbotsford and Mission individuals struggling with substance use, chronic homelessness, employment barriers, and poverty-related legal issues. Offers free resources, tools, guidance, and support in helping clients to navigate the social service, medical, and legal systems; also provides transportation to medical, legal, social service, treatment, and employment appointments. Also distributes harm reduction supplies (includes safer drug use supplies such as crack pipe mouthpiece and screens, and injection supplies, as well as safer sex supplies, including condoms), Take Home Naloxone Kits (Narcan), and clean needles, sterile water, and alcohol wipes. Accepts referral from self or other. Office hours are 8 am to 5 pm daily. Funding by Overdose Emergency Response Centre (OERC) and by the City of Abbotsford.
