Charlford House Society for Women

A 15-bed residential facility providing a supportive recovery program for women with alcohol and/or drug dependency; also treats process addictions including gambling, sex, shopping, food, and video games. Offers daily group counselling, individual counselling, balanced nutrition, 12-step meetings, fitness activities, guest speakers, and resource referrals. Emphasizes mutual and positive peer support, and a strong commitment to recovery. Referrals package includes medical, mental health, and medication sections that must be completed by a health professional. Accepts women on suboxone or methadone maintenance. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. 10 beds are funded as Stabilization and Transitional Living Residence (STLR) by Fraser Health. Five beds are reserved for private pay clients.
