Coldwater Indian Band

Band office administers public works; land, wills, and estates; housing; economic development; employment; and education programs and social services. Also works to enhance and sustain quality of life for band members through wellness, cultural services, and traditional skills training. Chief: Terrence Lee Spahan. Councillors: Jackie Aljam, Shawn Bob, Leah Collins, Veronica Jameson, Cheryl Rule (Vice Chief), Carol Smith, Michael Smithers, Harry Spahan. Administration office (301-230th Street, Coldwater Reserve) administers finance and social development programs and services. Band and administration office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

Provides 24-hour emergency shelter and support services to women (inclusive of cisgender and transgender women), with or without children, from abusive relationships.

Provides 24-hour emergency shelter and support services to women (inclusive of cisgender and transgender women), with or without children, from abusive relationships. Primarily serves women from the Nlaka'pamux communities (Coldwater, Lower Nicola, Nooaitch, Shackan, and Upper Nicola), but also serves Metis and non-Indigenous women by referral. Accepts male children up to age 15. No pets allowed. Serves Merritt and surrounding area. Partially wheelchair accessible. Funded by Indigenous Services Canada (ISC).
