Comox Valley Hospice Society

Provides free palliative care, and caregiver and grief support services for individuals with life-limiting illness and their loved ones. Programs and services include limited counselling, support groups, one-to-one volunteer companionship, respite services, education, and advanced care planning workshops. A lending library provides resources on grief, loss, living and coping with life-limiting illness, and information for caregivers. Offers psycho-social supports to clients of Aitken Community Hospice, a residential hospice facility. Physician referral required; contact Island Health for more information. Serves Comox Valley residents. Hours are 8:30 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
