Provides support services including assistance with housing, education and employment, justice services, and Community Living BC to help individuals achieve greater independence. Offers support to people with complex needs facing multiple barriers, including those who may be impacted by the criminal justice system; experiencing chronic homelessness, employment barriers, problematic substance use, or mental health challenges; and/or have developmental disabilities or spectrum disorders. Also operates BC Housing-funded subsidized units for singles, couples, and families with low to moderate incomes; intake is through BC Housing Registry. Also operates an Interior Health-funded assisted living facility; intake is through Home and Community Care. Serves Thompson-Okanagan region including Kamloops, Merritt, Nlaka’pamux, and Secwépemc (Shuswap). Also serves North Okanagan region (Armstrong, Cherryville, Coldstream, Enderby, Grindrod, Lavington, Lumby, Spallumcheen, and Vernon). Formerly known as John Howard Society Thompson Region.
