Crisis Prevention, Intervention and Information Centre for Northern BC
Provides 24-hour crisis services and information and referral regarding community services. Serves all of northern BC, from Quesnel to the Yukon border, and from the Alberta border to Haida Gwaii. Drop-in crisis support may be available between 9 am and 5 pm Monday to Friday, if a staff member is available. Also offers workshops on suicide, self-esteem, grief and loss, peer counselling, and communication skills; and publishes a Community Resource Directory. Part of the network that responds to 988 Suicide Crisis Helpline, 1-800-SUICIDE and 310 Mental Health (310-6789). Office hours are 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday.
