Employment and Assistance Appeal Tribunal

Hears appeals of Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction (MSDPR) reconsideration decisions that refuse, reduce, or discontinue income, disability assistance, hardship assistance, or a supplement under the Employment and Assistance Act, and the Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Act. Also hears appeals of Ministry of Education and Child Care reconsideration decisions that refuse, reduce, or discontinue child care benefits under the Early Learning and Child Care Act. Serves BC. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Independent agency that reports to the Minister of MSDPR.
