ERASE (Expect Respect And a Safe Education)

Focus is on creating a safe, caring and inclusive school communities. Helps to ensure that every student, staff, and community member feels safe, accepted, and respected, regardless of gender identity or expression,, race, culture, religion, ability, or sexual orientation. Provides information and resources for students, adults, and school staff on school and online safety, diversity and inclusion, and mental health and substance use topics. The erase Report It Tool found online here https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/erase/erase-for-students allows any student in BC's public schools to fill out a form and report cases of bullying, anonymously if desired, whether the student was a victim or a witness. The tool sends a message to the student's school or school district's safe school coordinator, who will follow-up on the situation right away. Students may also report other issues of concern at school through the report form.
