Manages and protects Canada's fisheries and safeguards its waters. Responsible for services and programs that contribute to the safety, security, and accessibility of waterways. Investigates reports of fisheries violations. Also deals with habitat restoration projects, marine protected areas, salmon hatcheries, and licences (including Indigenous fishing, commercial fishing, and recreational tidal water fishing). A list of fisheries and shellfish harvesting areas can be found on the website. Service hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday.
