Golden Food Bank

Provides low-barrier access to food in an atmosphere of dignity and respect, while collaborating with community partners to work towards food security. Crisis-based food bank program provides hampers of fresh food and pantry staples to households experiencing food insecurity in Golden and Area A. Also provides a food hamper delivery service for people who face a permanent or temporary barrier to accessing the food bank in person. Registration begins by speaking with staff; once registered, individuals and families can choose food items in an open shopping area. ID and proof of address required. Food bank hours are 1 pm to 5 pm Tuesdays and 9:30 am to 1 pm Thursdays. Also offers Recipe of the Week meal kits for $15 each. Also offers a food recovery program; Food Rescue Days are announced day-of via social media and email blast when there is a surplus of select food items available that will expire before the next distribution day. Serves Golden and area. Office hours are 10 am to 4 pm Monday to Thursday. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
