Gya' Wa' Tlaab Healing Centre Society

Early recovery and stabilization addictions program for up to 8 Indigenous and non-Indigenous males ages 19 and over. Provides a holistic approach based on a developmental model of recovery and grounded in Indigenous culture. Offers a seven- or eight-week residential program, as well as day programs for clients wanting to focus on one particular module. Services include acu-detox, psychoeducational groups, motivational and cognitive behavioural techniques, yoga/recreational instruction, meditation/relaxation, mental health counselling, alcohol and drug counselling, and cultural ceremonies. Accepts clients on substitution therapy. Not wheelchair accessible. Office hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Thursday. Funded by the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) as a National Native Alcohol and Drug Abuse Program (NNADAP). Nonprofit society.
