Provides community-based victim and outreach services, which serves victims of any age or gender who have been a victim of any crime including sexual assault, child abuse (including recent and historical sexual abuse, and residential historical abuse), and family violence.
Offers court orientation and accompaniment, form completion assistance, advocacy, and information and referral regarding community services. Victim Assistance Services offers third party reporting to individuals of any age or gender who are victims of sexual assault; staff report the assault to police on behalf of the victim who remains anonymous. Serves Daajing Giids, Port Clements, Sandspit, Skidegate, and Tlell. Office hours vary. Funded by Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG).
