LGBT National Help Center

Provides free and confidential telephone and online peer support and information to members of the the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning community. Operates four national hotlines, the LGBT National Hotline (all ages), the LGBT National Youth Talkline (ages 25 and under), the LGBT National Senior Hotline (ages 50 and over), and the LGBT National Coming Out Support Hotline (all ages), as well as an online chat service. Trained LGBT volunteers offer peer support, listening, affirmation, and referral to resources; issues may include coming out, safer sex information, school bullying, family concerns, relationship problems, and more. Also offers a database of resources at www.LGBTnearMe.org. Runs weekly moderated chat rooms for LGBT youth to find support, acceptance, and community. Serves Canada and the United States. Hours for all hotlines and online chat are 11 am to 8 pm Monday to Friday and 9 am to 2 pm Saturdays Pacific standard time.
