Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) - Fort St John

Supports the well-being of children, youth, and families, especially those who are vulnerable, through child protection and child and youth mental health services. Also offers services for family support, adoption, children and youth with support needs, and youth justice services. Other services coordinated through central provincial offices include helplines and after-hours support; resources and referral; funding and benefits programs; and specialized treatment for disabilities, mental health issues, and substance use. Serves Fort St John, Hudson's Hope, and Taylor. Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) intake and assessment clinic services are available by appointment. Hours are 9 am to 12 noon and 1 pm to 4 pm Monday to Friday.
