Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) - Williams Lake

Supports the well-being of children, youth, and families, especially those who are vulnerable, through child protection and child and youth mental health services. Also offers services regarding family support, guardianship, children and youth with support needs, and youth justice. Other services coordinated through central provincial offices include intake and screening; helplines and after-hours support; resources and referral; funding and benefits programs; and specialized treatment for disabilities, mental health issues, and substance use. Serves Williams Lake and area, including 150 Mile House, Alexis Creek, Alkali Lake, Anahim Lake, Big Creek, Big Lake Ranch, Chilanko Forks, Commodore Heights, Fox Mountain, Gang Ranch, Hanceville, Horsefly, Kleena Kleene, Likely, McLeese Lake, Nimpo Lake, Redstone, Riske Creek, Soda Creek, Springhouse, Tatla Lake, and Tatlayoko Lake. Walk-in Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) intake and assessment clinic hours are 9 am to 11 am and 1 pm to 3 pm Thursdays. Office hours are 9 am to 12 noon and 1 pm to 4 pm Monday to Friday.
