Multicultural Helping House Society (MHHS)

Aims to help newcomers, immigrants, and refugees from diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds  to succeed in Canada by providing educational, social, emotional, economic, and other support services. Services include information and referral, settlement services, parenting and leadership skills training, advocacy, online and in-person programs for youth and seniors, cultural activities, volunteer placement, and a tax clinic. Supports youth, women, and seniors with digital literacy and community activities to promote economic mobility, encourage intergenerational engagement, and promote sense a belonging. Through its social enterprise, also offers immigration consulting and English language programs. Has access to transient housing for live-in caregivers, new immigrants, and temporary foreign workers of all genders for a few days while they look for more permanent housing. Services are offered in multiple languages: Farsi, Hindi, Ibanag, Ilocano, Kapampangan, Pangasinan, Punjabi, Spanish, Tagalog, and Visaya. Office and program hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
