Offers free support services to improve quality of life for adults, ages 19 to 65, and their families whose lives are altered by brain injury, including stroke.
Services include direct and remote case management, peer group and family support, brain injury prevention and education, referral to community resources, and advocating for new and expanded services. Also offers a support group for survivors of brain injury, including stroke, in identifying challenges and learning coping strategies. Phone and online services are available in remote communities regarding behaviour management and independent living skills. Open referral. Serves Dawson Creek, Chetwynd, and surrounding communities. Funded by Brain Injury Alliance, and Northern Health.
