Pacifica Housing

Provides subsidized permanent and supported housing for low-income families, people with disabilities, and adults who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless due to mental health and/or addictions issues. Intake for BC Housing-funded subsidized buildings is through the BC Housing Registry. Also provides reduced market housing (tenants pay 80% to 90% of market rate); apply directly through housing provider. Owns and operates houses in Greater Victoria, Duncan, and Nanaimo. Office hours are 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. The after-hours line responds to reports of emergency repair, flooding, or building security breach. Nonprofit society.

A drop-in centre providing advocacy, housing outreach, and referral services for adults who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless due to mental health and/or addictions issues, disability, incarceration, or poverty. Services include housing search assistance; advocacy and support with accessing benefits; help with scheduling or attending medical, legal, or other appointments; and information and referral to community services. Also helps with completion of applications for BC Housing subsidized housing, Coordinated Access and Assessment (CAA) supported housing, and the Greater Victoria Streets to Homes (S2H) Program. Community Support Workers provide intensive case management services to housed clients to manage mental health and/or addictions issues and other barriers to maintaining stable housing.
