Raven's Moon Resource Society

Provides supportive transitional housing and permanent housing in Abbotsford for adult women and men who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and have multiple barriers such as addiction and/or mental illness, health issues, trauma, abuse, or involvement with the criminal justice system. The Low Barrier Program allows individuals who are still active in addiction to have a safe place to live as they consider their next steps; separate housing for men and women. The Sober Living Program allows residents to live in a communal environment with staff and peer support. The Supported Independent Living Program (SILP) provides affordable housing for senior men; support services include counselling and/or referral, assistance setting up and accompaniment to medical and legal appointments, personal development planning, and assistance with applications. Focus is on physical and mental health, education and employment, financial management, permanent housing, and life skills for independent living. No minimum or maximum length of stay for any of the transitional housing. Home-To-Stay Program provides permanent housing with independent units for individuals, couples, and families. Celebrates Aboriginal heritage and healing practices, but welcomes people of all backgrounds. Accepts clients on methadone maintenance. Referral from self or other. Fees are $500 to $700 per month. Funded in part by BC Housing, Service Canada, United Way, and Mennonite Central Committee. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
