Skidegate Health Centre

Provides holistic health and wellness services rooted in Haida culture and traditions to the Skidegate community. Offers a Primary Care Clinic on Thursdays. The Dental Clinic provides access to educational, preventative, and acute dental care. The Mental Health Program provides comprehensive mental health supports including counselling, art therapy, and support groups. The Adult Day Program provides a safe and welcoming space for Elders to engage in social activities and eat nutritious food; program runs from Monday to Friday and registration is required. The Medical Transportation Program is provided to eligible community members so that they can access health services not available in the community. Other services include treatment, prevention, and education of chronic and communicable diseases; prenatal education, immunizations, infant and child assessments, and family support; and nursing care, personal care, and homemaking services. Serves all members of Skidegate Band, other First Nations people, and non-Indigenous people in Daajing Giids, Sandspit, Skidegate, and Tlell. Hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
