Society of Translators and Interpreters of BC (STIBC)

Professional organization representing translators and interpreters in BC. Fosters the professional development and promotes the professional interests of translators and interpreters. Provides a system of certification through the administration of a CTTIC national certification exam. Promotes public understanding and awareness of the functions and responsibilities of translators and interpreters. Membership fees apply. A list of certified translators/interpreters who can provide service for a fee is accessible by website or phone; free referral service. Office hours are 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society.
