VETS (Veterans Emergency Transition Services) Canada

Volunteer-run organization provides 24-hour aid and comfort to Canadian veterans in crisis or who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Outreach support services include referral to community resources, housing and employment search assistance, financial assistance, specialized help and support for Canadian Veterans who identify as LGBTQ2+, and provision of grocery cards and the like. Also offers a free 10-week Guitars for Vets program which offers peer support through guitar lessons; matches guitar instructors with veterans who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder or other disabilities. Veterans may be former members of the Canadian Armed Forces, or RCMP. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
