Victoria Women in Need (WIN) Community Cooperative
Provides programs and services for women, transgender and non-binary individuals who are in crisis and/or fleeing gender based violence. The Transformations Program provides a week-long training in self-awareness, healthy relationships, and non-violent communication. The Self Sufficiency Program provides bursaries to program participants that can be used for education, training, business development, or accessing other supports to increase their financial independence and wellbeing. The New Start Program works to deliver essential items such as furniture, housewares, kitchen items and bedding to participants who are leaving transitional housing or crisis situations. Requires referral from a local transition house or other local organization that supports women. The Gift Certificate Program offers vouchers that can be used at any WIN resale store to get items such as clothing, housewares and seasonal goods at no cost. Gift certificates are offered to WIN clients, and clients at other partner organizations. Operates resale stores at five locations. To donate, check website for donation hours, locations and accepted items. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society.
