A free, voluntary, and confidential service for parents and caregivers with children and youth newborn to 13 years of age in South Surrey and White Rock. Family workers provide one-to-one parent education, information, support, and strategies to promote effective communication. They also respond to challenging behaviours, support healthy child and adolescent development and emotions, and increase cooperation and problem solving. Family workers also help connect to community resources and additional supports. Self-referrals, service provider, and community referrals are welcome. Serves South Surrey and White Rock. Hours of service are flexible and include evenings. The program is funded by the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
