24-Hour Crisis and Information Line

Service Description

Provides free and confidential 24-hour crisis assistance, emotional support, and information to women and transgender, nonbinary, Two-Spirit, and gender diverse people over the age of 14 who have had an experience of sexual violence, as well as their friends and family, friends and families of MMIWG2S, educators, anti-violence workers, community practitioners, or anyone with a desire to learn more about sexualized violence. Provides information and intake to Salal programs and services including victim services, counselling, legal and court navigation assistance, and specialized cultural supports. Also provides referrals to community agencies. Service is nationwide. Offers Salal Connect Text & Chat Support from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday in the Lower Mainland. Services are available in over 150 languages. Funded by Ministry for Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG).
