Access DTC

Helps qualified persons with disabilities to apply for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC), a non-refundable tax credit that reduces the amount of income tax owed. The credit can go back up to ten years and unused credit amounts can be transferred to eligible caregivers. Provides set-by-step support through applications, renewals, denials, and appeals. Can also help individuals apply for any benefit related to the DTC once approved. In partnership with Plan Institute, offers help to apply for the Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP); see Plan Institute's Disability Planning Helpline for details. Also provides education on the DTC through workshops for community organizations, health care providers, businesses, and government. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
