Advocacy Services

Offers free legal information, advocacy, and representation to low-income individuals, including those living with mental illness and/or experiencing homelessness or insecure housing. Provides information and support to resolve income, housing, and family law problems. Assists with welfare benefits, debt issues, tenancy disputes, mental health and human rights, and child protection concerns. Staff work with clients, government agencies, and service providers. Poverty law intake hours are 9:30 am to 11:30 am Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Child protection advocacy intake hours are 1 pm to 4 pm Mondays. Appointments are not required for intake. Hours are 9:30 am to 12 noon and 1 pm to 4 pm Monday to Friday.
