Alisa's Wish Child and Youth Advocacy Centre

Provides a centralized child- and youth-friendly wraparound service for those age 18 and younger in Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, and Katzie First Nation who have experienced or witnessed physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, and for their non-offending family members. Child and youth advocates facilitate a compassionate, coordinated approach to the prevention, identification, prosecution, and treatment of abuse involving children and youth. Services include safety planning, coping and resiliency skills training, and introduction to the court process. Referrals are through Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) or the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). Hours are 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, by appointment only. Funded by Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG).
