Asante FASD/Neurodevelopmental Services

Offers assessment, diagnostic, and family support services for individuals and families who are, or are suspected of, living with fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) or other complex developmental behavioural conditions. Provides care plans for assessed clients addressing medical, school, home, and life skills challenges. Supports include diagnostic services, speech-language therapy, education and prevention workshops, assessment and diagnostic training, and assistance with community capacity building concerning FASD and other effects of prenatal substance exposure. Accepts referrals for private assessments funded per individual from a variety of sources. Publicly funded referrals are received through Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) youth probation services, specific BC Corrections custody services, Community Living BC, Xyolhemeylh (Fraser Valley Aboriginal Child and Family Services), or Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children. Serves Maple Ridge, with appointments available in Port Coquitlam, Vancouver, Surrey, Abbotsford PLEA offices or through outreach clinics across BC.
